IN 2008-A FUTURISTIC SOUTH AFRICAN
HYPED UP TRAILER-PARK BAND

Die Antwoord world famous tattooed South African Rap-Rave band
rocks the fashion world. The haphazard group of musicians
who has opened up shows in Italy to the United States
responsible for ultradirty lyrics and almost freak show
flamboyance born out of the South African Zef scene
and post apartheid subculture has fronted international
fashion ad-campaigns including Alexander Wang sold
at fashion friendly retailers such as Nordstrom 
and Saks Fifth Avenue the famous New York
luxury goods departmental store. The young designer
Alexander Wang whose Chinese parents raised him
in San Francisco was not fazed 'Where music leads, I follow
he says (Die Antwoord) is a different thing that we might say
is 'fashion' but fashion is still what they wear and how they
portray themselves, usually 'That is what I love so much'
