It was reported that officials in China cracked down on models working
in China under tourist visas by setting up a sting.
Over sixty models were arrested through fake casting staged by the Chinese
model agency M3 with brands like Burberry making an effort to stage shows
in China which has become more of a hotspot for international modeling.
Most likely though, you won't see top models being busted.
According to Style.com
These are often young Eastern European girls who do not speak any Chinese
or English for that matter are struggling to make ends meet by stringing together
jobs and staying in the country longer than their contracted period of time.
Many of these models will eventually end up being deported while others are
told to keep a low profile.
