This Exhibition presents the story of two personalities Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs (Creative Director of Louis Vuitton)
and highlights their contributions to the world of fashion.
How did they know to register in their respective time to innovate
and advance on the entire industry.How those two men with their
language did they appropriate the phenomena and cultural codes
in order to write the history of fashion rather than retrospective analysis.
This parallel Vuitton/Jacobs provides insights
into the fashion system during these two periods are hings that industrialization-
of the whole XIX century
Marc Jacobs graduated in 1984 from the Parsons School of Design in New York and was appointed by the famous American House Perry Ellis.
On the 7th of January Marc Jacobs was appointed Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton
and introduced for the first time in the history of Louis Vuitton Ready-To-Wear collections.
